I took a walk today as the sun was clouded and descending to do a few self portraits and it was just, so exactly, precisely what I needed. I crawled my way up a stone ledge to get to this spot and the security van drove past, waved and smirked, and allowed me to continue, so for that, I was grateful and brightened.

and then on the walk back i peered into apartment windows and wondered what their lives must be like.

My mother and I visited Jamaica for a week, and I plan on going back very soon because I loved it so dearly. I will be updating this post as I move along as well (this was taken between Cuba and Jamaica during our plane ride there).

a "cliff diver" diving off of the highest points into the waters below.
YS Falls/Dream Falls, where we went swimming.
I found light and warmth and I never wanted to leave.
(shutter pressed by my dear mother, thank you, mom.)
My mother and me.

My mother and me. We had a wonderful, wonderful time.
I fell in love with the weather, the sun, the saltwater smell and taste that is still permeating my tongue as I drink down my water at work, the people (the real folks I actually got to meet), the "shrimpys" sold on the roadside with delectable Original Jerk Sauce. So delicious, so savory, this trip was the epitome of loveliness.
